“Giselle” is a classical ballet that tells the story of a peasant girl who falls in love with a nobleman disguised as a commoner. Tragically, the girl dies of a broken heart when she discovers the truth about her lover’s identity. The ballet is known for its stunning choreography and beautiful music, and is a true masterpiece of the ballet repertoire. We are honored to have the prime dancers from the National Opera and Ballet of Ukraine bring this timeless classic to life on stage.

Russia is a Terrorist State!

On February 24, 2022, the world watched in shock as ballistic missile strikes targeted cities throughout Ukraine, the largest country in Europe. Ukrainians, who recently celebrated 30 years of Independence from the Soviet Union, are now on the frontline of defending Democracy against Autocracy.  All freedom loving nations MUST support Ukraine in its hour of need.  To date, 141 countries out of 195 in the world, support Ukraine.

Many have asked how they can help Ukraine, so UAST has put together opportunities below.  Continue to pray as it remains one of the most powerful weapons against evil.  Above all, stand with Ukraine, provide humanitarian support for the refugees, weapons for the Ukrainian Army and support rebuilding Ukraine.  We strive to provide directives and links for you to share and support Ukraine.  Together we will overcome and celebrate a victory for freedom and democracy!

Demand that Ukraine Not Be Politicized - Pass Funding Now!

The United States must give Ukraine the support it needs to achieve victory, including weapons and economic support. The United States has fallen far behind Europe when it comes to supporting Ukraine, and Congress must pass supplemental aid to meet our commitments.

The single most important thing the U.S. can do to support Ukraine right now is swiftly pass supplemental funding. Aid to Ukraine is running dry and Ukrainians know that America’s choice of whether to continue support is a life-or-death matter for them. America’s allies are looking to us for leadership. It’s time to get this right and help Ukraine win.

What to say when calling or writing your congressional office:

Hello, my name is ____, and my zip code is ____. I’m calling to thank you for America’s support for Ukraine and to ask for an increase in that aid. As your constituent (and a member of ___ organizations in your district), I’m calling to urge your office to support additional funding for Ukraine. Thank you for all the US has done to help Ukraine.

Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine continues to cause carnage and untold suffering. The russian terrorists have killed over one hundred thousand civilians, injured thousands more, kidnapped women, children and soldiers and caused a humanitarian crisis the likes of which have not been seen in Europe since World War II.  The world has watched in horror as the kremlin continues to launch  missile and artillery attacks on Ukrainian civilian targets.  These kremlin war tactics can be clearly classified as acts of genocide.

No country should have their citizens targeted and killed systematically without regard. This is genocide, the most heinous crime known to man.

Senators Jim Risch (R-ID), Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD) introduced a resolution - S.Res.713, Recognizing russian (sic) actions in Ukraine as a Genocide. The Senate resolution, analoogous to H.Res. 1205 in the House of Representatives, explicitly condemns the genocide of Ukrainians and "supports tribunals and international criminal investigations to hold russian (sic) political leaders and military personnel to account for a war of aggression, war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide."

Currently the resolution has the following additional co-sponsors:

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT)

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)

Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH)

Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH)

Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC)

Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS)

The United States government designates countries and international organizations as sponsors of terrorism.

With the indiscriminate bombings that have resulted in the loss of untold numbers of innocent men, women, and children in Ukraine, it is apparent russia’s actions can be classified as a ‘state sponsor of terror’.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee (SFRC) initiated S.Res.623 to designate russia as a State Sponsor of Terror.  The Ukrainian National Information Service (UNIS) urges you to contact your senators to support S.Res.623 and advocate for the designation of russia as a State Sponsor of Terror.

Currently, there are four countries listed as state sponsors of terror:  Cuba, Syria, Iran, and North Korea.  Your immediate action is requested and would impart greater sanctions and other measures against russia for its terrorist actions in Ukraine.
