Petrykivka Ukrainian Art Exhibit at the Dallas City Hall Lobby

Artist Hanna Chekodanova | Dallas City Hall Lobby | August 1–8, 2025

Dallas City Hall will host a first ever exhibit of Petrykivka Painting, a vibrant and deeply symbolic folk art tradition from the village of Petrykivka in Ukraine. Recognized by UNESCO in 2013 as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, this art form is cherished for its intricate floral motifs and expressive brushwork.


The exhibition will be on view from August 1st through August 8th, 2025, at the Dallas City Hall Lobby area at 1500 Marilla Street in Dallas from 8 am to 5 pm weekdays only.

On Wednesday, August 6th, from 3 pm to 4 pm, Artist, Hanna Chekodanova will be present at the exhibit to allow the community to meet with her personally and further learn about Petrykivka.
