Members of Ukrainian Organizations in the North Texas area met with Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne's District Director, Cody Vaden representing the 24th District of Texas. There was an open discussion of concern from political rhetoric in the media that is spreading misinformation about Ukraine and President Zelensky. The group also shared general information about the war and the need to keep Ukraine, foremost as an ally. Requests were made to reverse the White House USAID decision that stopped aid to countries that need help the most, one of which is Ukraine. It was also mentioned that Trump's end to humanitarian parole for immigrants will severely harm our Ukrainian refugees. Cody expressed understanding and will convey our thoughts and concerns to the Congresswoman.
