Ukrainian American Society of Texas (UAST)

Українсько-Американське Товариство Техасу (УАТТ)

  

In 1983 local Ukrainians formed a group under the name of the Ukrainian American Society of North Texas.  In 1985, the society became a non-profit organization known as the Ukrainian American Society of Texas (UAST) .  The organization provides an opportunity  for Ukrainians to socialize while preserving the culture, language, food, music, art and dance of Ukraine.

UAST is a resource to the DFW metroplex on Ukraine and it's people  and supports other Ukrainian organizations such as the Zorya Dance Group and St. Sophia's Ukrainian Church.

У 1983 році місцеві українці створили групу під назвою Українсько-Американське Товариство Північного Техасу. У 1985 товариство стало неприбутковою організацією, відомою під назвою Українсько-Американське Товариство Техасу. Товариство дає українцям можливість спілкуватись і таким чином зберігати традиціі, мову, страви, музику,  та танці України.

УАТТ є осередком українскої культури в районі Даласу--Форт-Ворсу і також підтримує інші українські організації, такі як: танцювальна група Зоря та українска церква Св. Софії.

 

Upcoming Events: 

Beginning November 2007, Ukrainians throughout the world will launch year-long events to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Ukrainian Genocide of 1932-1933, Stalin's man-made, engineered famine in Ukraine. 

It benefits every Ukrainian American to learn about the horror that befell 10 million Ukrainians of which 3,000,000 were children, and it should be everyone's obligation to ensure that a tragedy such as this never falls mankind again.

1648 Ukrainian War of Liberation Fought Again!
at Four Winds Renaissance Faire in Tyler, Texas
April 19th, Saturday

Re-enactors from across America are converging on the Four Winds Renaissance faire on April 19th to fight out a battle from the 1648 Ukrainian War of Liberation complete with cannons, winged hussars, and Cossacks! Click here for printable flyer.
