1648 Ukrainian War of Liberation Fought Again!
at Four Winds Renaissance Faire in Tyler, Texas.
8th - 9th, Saturday & Sunday

Re-enactors from across America are converging on the Four Winds Renaissance faire on April 8th and 9th to fight out a battle from the 1648 Ukrainian War of Liberation complete with cannons, winged hussars, and Cossacks! Apart from the twice daily battles there will also be living history presentations and even a Cossack wargame demonstration, something foe everyone!

UAST Spring Picnic, Canyon Creek Park, Richardson
27th, Saturday (Memorial Day Weekend)  1pm-6pm

The UAST Spring Picnic will be held Saturday, May 27 from 1 pm to 6 pm, at
Canyon Creek Park, Richardson (Mapsco 7N). Bring a dish to share. UAST will provide
grilling meats, drinks, condiments, plates and utensils, lawn games and fun.  Please 
contact Andrew Chobany (andchob@swbell.net or 972-235-4920) with any questions and to let him know that you will attend.

To reach Canyon Creek Park, from Coit Rd, go east on Campbell Rd west, turn
north (left) on Nantucket Dr, then turn right on Copper Ridge, turn right on
Aspenwood, park is on your left. Google for a map -- put in "603 aspenwood 75080".

Volunteers are still needed! It's a great chance to spend extra time with fellow Ukrainians! Please check here for more information.

Heritage Day at the State Fair
Sunday, the 8th, 10am-6pm

 Sunday October 8th Heritage Day at the State Fair 10am-6pm at the African American Museum on the State Fair Grounds (near the Grand Ave Gate entrance). There will be a flag ceremony which will coincide with the opening ceremony at 11 AM. (National Anthems and Flags will be presented from each culture represented) .  There will be several local cultural groups represented. UAST will host an information booth inside the museum. Zorya will perfom on the Heritage Stage outside the museum at 5:10 and will also perform at 2:00 and 7:30 on the Hall of State steps that day.)
